Rock & Roll Hall of Fame / Summer is Over / A Trace of The Sun

Posted on April 16 2012
Hey Sara Bareilles Fans!
This past Saturday (4/14) Sara Bareilles performed "Stoney End" as a part of a tribute to Laura Nyro during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cleveland. Watch a clip of her breath-taking performance and a quick interview with Sara:
On March 30, Sara Bareilles, Javier Dunn and other talented musicians performed at the Vail Film Festival. Below are some videos of Sara's performance:
- Soundcheck (Vail Film Festival)
- Love Song (Vail Film Festival)
- Gravity (Vail Film Festival)
On a different note, the video of Summer is Over (Jon McLaughlin ft. Sara Bareilles) has finally been released! It is adorable! Watch it now:
Sara's documentary "A Trace of the Sun" came out on March 23 (watch it NOW if you haven't already!).
On March 24, Sara, Josh Day, Daniel Rhine and a representative from All Hands volunteer participated in a Q&A about the documentary that was streamed live - and you can still watch it on ustream! I know the quality of the video isn't the best but if you're patient I promise it will be worth it - Sara even gets emotional when answering one of the questions (so sweet!).
Besides, our dedicated moderator Jen Webb went on an adventure to DC and participated in the Q&A, and Sara gave a shout out to SaraBFans and personally thanked us for our donation to All Hands - how awesome is that!
Other "Trace of The Sun" related videos:
- CNN's Story on Sara's visit to Japan
- Sara's interview on "The Insider"
- Interview on E! about Sara's show at the Troubadour and her pre-show rituals
Last but not least, Record Store Day is THIS SATURDAY, April 21, and Sara Bareilles will release a limited edition vinyl with the exclusive tracks "Stay" and "Beautiful Girl" - make sure to go to your local store to garantee yours! For more infomration on participating stores, click here.
Sara has performed this past Sunday in Nashville, and will perform in Madison, Sioux Falls and Kirksville in the next couple weekend. We will be posting videos and photos soon, so make sure to come back and check them out!
Keep visiting us please and spread the site :)
We love you Sara, your music is amazing.

Benefit Concert At Troubadour - Best Cover Contest - Other News

Posted on March 21 2012
Hey guys!
Let's start with the community news today:
On March 17, we made our community donation to All Hands Volunteer. We were able to raise $325! A big thank you to everyone who participated. Sara, being sweet as usual, not only retweeted our tweet about the donation, but also replied to it! See it yourself:

We have opened the votes for the Best Cover Contest! Check out these amazing covers and vote on your favorite one!
If you can't wait for Sara's new EP, we have good news. You can already order the 7-inch (vynil) record with the tracks "Stay" and "Beautiful Girl"! The official release date is April 21, but act fast since this is a limited edition!
Jon McLaughlin posted more pictures of the shooting of Summer is Over. Let's hope this means they will release the video soon!
Sara Bareilles visited an Elementary school in Fremont on March 13 as part of the "Nice Job Mom, We Rock" contest. Watch a quick video of her experience. There is also another video from her visit to Old Orchard Elementary that portraits how impactful this campaign is. Sara's generosity and big heart is evident with her involvment in such campaigns.
Speaking of generosity, "A Trace of The Sun" (Sara's documentary on her volunteering experience in Japan after last year's tsunami) comes out this Friday, March 23, on VEVO! Make sure to mark that date down - it will be an emotional and inspiring video, for sure! And if you don't want to watch it by yourself, join SaraBFans on a viewing party!
UPDATE: The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C., is holding a special screening of the "A Trace of the Sun" on Saturday, March 24. Immediately following the screening will be a question and answer segment with Sara, members of her band, and Mark Young from All Hands. This Q&A will be available for live stream, beginning at 7:00PM EST.
This past Saturday Sara performed a benefit concert for All Hands Volunteer at the Troubadour in LA. There are quite a few videos on youtube - laurenleialoha uploaded practically the entire show!
A couple of highlights of the night:
Sara interacted with the audience a lot during the show and even opened up for a Q&A session where she explained the meaning of the tatoo she has behind her ear. Seems like it was a very fun and special night!
